The word “legend” is often a very over-used term.. but in the case of TV SMITH, its 100% justified. For over three decades since his releases with THE ADVERTS right through to his current solo career, TV SMITH epitomises someone who has stuck to his guns, through thick and thin, and still performs with a passion and energy that not only enthrals and entertains but also puts some bands half of his age to shame.
Over the past few years it’s been an honour to work with TV SMITH on his latest projects and releases, and long may it continue! With his lyrics that effortlessly get to the heart of the matter, this is punk from the heart and you will never see TV SMITH selling butter on the telly – this is the real deal. In-between his exhausting and constant touring (over 100 shows last year and looking at a similar amount in 2010 ) TV SMITH's "Sparkle in The Mud - Unreleased Songs and Demos - Volume 1 1979-1983" has been crafted and contains some real gems for die-hard fans and new discoverers of his work alike.
Also please make sure you check out the most recent studio album “IN THE ARMS OF MY ENEMY” and last years classic double live album “LIVE AT THE NVA” which prove beyond all doubt that TV SMITH is a punk legend, who’s work is as relevant today as THE ADVERTS were back in 1977.
