STUPIDS is a band very close to my heart.. they were right there at the start of my journey into magical world of hardcore punk, they were the first band we attempted cover versions of in my first band, and were the first UK hardcore punk band to openly embrace US style hardcore in this country. Our series of STUPIDS reissues were a complete labour of love, because the band is that important, and needed properly documenting rather than previous hastily repacked collections that the band had no input or say on. In addition to this, to see them back playing – and for all the right reasons – 20 years on and unleash such a triumphant return as “THE KIDS DON’T LIKE IT”, which is arguably the most complete album they ever released, is nothing short of miraculous!

However, I’m not surprised – both Tom and Martin see THE STUPIDS in the 21st century as unfinished business, and “THE KIDS DON’T LIKE IT” is not some insipid cash in or nostalgia trip living on former glories – this is a band at the top of their game.. they sound better than ever, they are better live than they ever were, so if you haven’t already done so, you need this album!!
