H.D.Q

H.D.Q. were one of the very best bands of the late 80s – part of the UK hardcore scene but one of the few bands to openly show influences from the likes of DESCENDENTS and DAG NASTY – all three of their albums are bona fide classics, and our retro series reissues of second and third albums “Sinking” and “Soulfinder” have hosts of rare additional tracks from demos and the bands two sessions from the John Peel show..

Of course, minus singer Golly all three members went on to LEATHERFACE, whilst members also ended up at one point or another in SOFA HEAD, GENERIC, DR BISON, STOKOE, and of course THE JONES, who’s “Gravity Blues” album is one of the finest releases we ever put out on Boss Tuneage! Plans are afoot for a third and final HDQ reissue at some point to tie up all the other recordings by this great band not covered on our current two reissues!
