Do you accept demos?
Yes we love to get demos, please send them to us at Boss Tuneage, PO Box 74, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 2WB. Please include a bit of info on yourselves and as to why you think Boss Tuneage is the label for you. ( This means that if you are a soul funk band or hi-energy dance group we are unlikely to be the best outlet for your stuff - but then again we never say never!)
Alternatively if you are on My Space you can send us a link to your site and we'll have a look and a listen, please don't send us gopping great big emails with your 10 track demo of about a gazillion Megs, this kind of thing does not make us happy and unsurprisingly we'venot signed any bands that have done this
It sounds really lame but unfotunatley it's true - we try to respond to each and every one we get but it's not always possible - sorry
I run a fanzine/ webzine - Can I get some releases for review?
Short answer is yes of course, all that we ask is if we send you review copies, you let us know when they are likely to be reviewed, send us a link to the review or hard copy if still using our favourite medium of good old print and paper. Have a look at our Press section for further info.
Can I make a suggestion about who you should re-issue?
By all means, please feel free to make suggestions as to who you would like us to reissue.. we are always interested to hear your suggestions and see if it matches to our "hitlist" of bands we feel deserve the re-issue treatment.. sometimes it can be problematic to track down band members or find out who owns the original recordings to license them, and in some instances the sound recording owners don't want to license the tracks to us, but overall we definitely like to hear what you'd like to see made available again!
I run a label - do you trade?
At present we are concentrating on the Boss Tuneage releases and so therefore have decided to, for the time being at least, wind down our mailorder and distro of non Boss Tuneage items, and so therefore are not offering trades at this particular time. You can however still purchase Boss Tuneage releases for wholesale (details below)
How can I get copies of your releases wholesale?
You can get copies of our releases at wholesale prices via PHD if you have an account with them. If you live in Japan we recommend that you contact Waterslide/Boss Tuneage Tokyo and in Germany via Boss Tuneage Germany/Rookie. If you live elsewhere and don't have an account with PHD then we can supply wholesale directly. Please contact us for details - please note we don't offer stuff on sale or return - it's just too hard to keep track of everything!
I'd like to license your record for release in my country - is this possible?
More often that not, this is totally possible - but is dependent on certain releases (particularly the re-issues) as to what our agreements are with the band or licensors. The best bet is to contact us about this.
Can i get hold of your older releases?
A lot of our older titles (pre 2005) are no longer available from us directly, although you may be able to find the odd copy floating about still, sometimes direct from the bands.. eventually a lot of older releases will be made available again via digital downloads, so keep checking back on that.
